We want to take a moment to express our gratitude for each of you who stepped up and served while we were away. It's a sweet blessing to know that things are well taken care of — a testimony of the faithfulness of God working through His people.

As we close out our reading through Ezekiel — with just two more days remaining — we now look ahead to the book of Hebrews to finish the month. And what a transition it will be. Hebrews opens with this powerful declaration:

"God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son…" (Hebrews 1:1–2)

In other words, we move from hearing God's voice through the prophet — like Ezekiel — to hearing Him through the living, incarnate Word, Jesus Christ.

Ezekiel's Name and God's Intent

Let's not forget the meaning of Ezekiel's name: "God strengthens."
