Exposition on The Book of Hebrews - Part 40

This message was Part-40, covering Hebrews 11:23. The message deals with the matter of faith in the life of the Parents of Moses.

Probably the second greatest challenge to one’s faith is when it comes to our Children. Like we saw in the life of Abraham, this is the meaning God used to test Abraham which resulted in an even stronger faith.

Hebrews 11:23
23-By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.

Yet we come here to Hebrews 11:23, the faith of two people that like Joseph had no written copy of God’s word, all they had was a 606 year old promise passed down from generation to generation that God had given to Abraham back in Genesis 15.

What is this; such a great measure of faith that these parents had?

It was a faith that when exercised it altered the course of human events for all time. Both for the nation of Israel and for the rest of humanity.
