47 The Woman on the Beast

There is more to this woman than meets the eye.

John uses three word pictures to describe her character

1. She is a prostitute
   She is the epitome of unfaithfulness.

2. She is the great city of Babylon.
   She is the epitome of self-centeredness.

3. She is a mystery.
   She is the epitome of deception.

Even John was being taken in by her until God, in His grace and by the word of His messanger, revealed the truth about her.
