The Mystery Revealed

In Colossians 1:24-27 Paul begins a discussion of his ministry by expounding three truths about the mystery of the Gospel of which he is a minister: The mystery has a steward who joyfully suffers on behalf of the church and who fully proclaims the Word to the benefit of the church; the mystery has a revelation that was once hidden and that has now been revealed; and the mystery has an explanation, which is that God is the revealer of the mystery, Gentiles are the recipients of the riches of the mystery, and Christ is the content of the mystery.
