The Authority of the Bible

God is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and He has spoken. The Bible is the authoritative revelation from Him. It then is the standard for life and salvation for man, whom He created to be in a personal relationship with.

He reveals Himself in His Word and only what He has revealed is the truth about Himself. It is an eternal and unchanging source of truth about man and all creation.

This means the Bible, from Genesis through Revelation, is the final standard and authority in all areas to which it speaks. Particular to this study will be the area of the family. Those who disagree with the Bible are disagreeing with God.

The critical issues of the revelation, inspiration and illumination of the Bible are considered in this study.
