A message for Mary

Six months after Gabriel appeared to Zacharias in Jerusalem, he is sent by God to speak to Mary in Nazareth.

He comes with a great promise, speaks of a great person (identifying his name, nobility and nature), and testifies of great power (a supernatural act of God in the virgin conception). Mary’s response shows great piety: her situation make her extremely vulnerable, her question shows her genuinely humble, and her submission reveals a complete and willing consecration.
