The LBCF of 1689 - Ch 9, Para's 2-5

This message examines the paragraphs in Chapter 9 of the 1689 Confession describing the nature and powers of the human will in the four states of moral existence: Perfection before the Fall, Ruin after the Fall, Redemption after the Fall, and Perfection in Heaven. The will is seen to operate in precisely the same manner in each state, the difference being the moral disposition and quality of the soul. The man's affections are shown to change from state to state, and thereby most powerfully induce the will to act accordingly.
