Time's Up and You've Failed

God brings this man to the point of sheer terror and hopelessness, yet even in his feeble state he fails to repent. The glaring contrast between Belshazzar and Nebuchadnezzar declares the sovereignty of God in salvation. This is what Daniel is at pains to declare; God has absolute authority over every facet of His creation, right down to nations and individuals. Sadly, Belshazzar presses his folly right to the last moment, and is lost forever. I wonder what you would do, and where you would stand, if the writing appeared on the wall for you. Your time is up, you have failed, and your belongings have already been distributed to other people.
