Yahweh Defends Jacob

At the end of his 14 years of service to Laban, Jacob was ready to take his wives and children and return to Canaan. However, he entered into an agreement with Laban because he had no animals or substance to support his large family. In the process of this agreement, Laban cheated him again, but by some unusual events Yahweh caused Jacob to prosper and Laban's riches to decrease. There are several practical lessons for us in these events in the patriarch's life.
