Phil. 2:1-11

The letter continues the thought of the imperative in 1:27 to live worthily of the gospel of Christ. Opening this chapter with the condition of 'if' should stir our spirits to search whether we are recipients of the true grace of God. From this we can, as saints of God, grow together in the corporate experience of Christ to be one. This oneness or union of the membership is best demonstrated by the example of Christ's humility/condescension for us. Let us do for one another, as He did for us.
