Not Merit, a Mediator

God's blessings to his people do not come by merit, they come through a Mediator. In Deuteronomy 9 Moses reminds the people that they were not delivered because of might or merit, he calls them to remember their past sins, and to recall God's grace to them through his mediation. So he points us to Christ, the better Mediator.
