True Courage
Series Christian Manhood
On the first Lord's Day evening of June, 1863, Robert Lewis Dabney delivered a sermon commemorative of General Stonewall Jackson at the First Presbyterian Church of Richmond, Virginia. It was entitled "True Courage." This review of that sermon focuses upon Dabney's description of the nature of true courage and the relationship of true courage, as exemplified in Jackson's life, to the fear of God, a righteous cause and confidence in the special providence of God.
