The Man of the Signs
Series The Gospel According to John
The Man of the Signs.John 2:11;John 20:30-31;John 12:44-45 KJV In this message, we journey through the Gospel of John to behold Jesus Christ—the Man of the Signs. The signs He performed were not mere displays of power, but divine revelations of who He truly is: the Son of God, full of grace and truth.Jesus' first miracle at Cana—turning water into wine—was more than a solution to a wedding crisis; it was a manifestation of His divine glory. In this moment, Christ revealed His authority over creation itself, confirming that the One who stood among them was no ordinary man but the eternal Word made flesh. His signs carry authority because He is the Author of all things.John's Gospel is selective—not every miracle is recorded, but the ones that are, were handpicked by the Holy Spirit to bring about faith. These signs point to Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God, and invite us into the life that only He can give. The miracles weren't for show—they were sermons in action, declaring, "This is your Messiah—believe on Him and live!"Jesus didn't leave room for neutrality—He cried out with urgency, calling people not just to witness His signs but to respond with faith and obedience. To see Jesus is to see the Father. To believe in Jesus is to believe in the One who sent Him. The signs demand a response—not just amazement, but surrender.Jesus Christ, the Man of the Signs, still moves today. His miracles call us to recognize His authority, receive His salvation, and respond with believing hearts. Have you seen the signs? Have you recognized the Savior? And most importantly—have you responded to the call?
