Blessing: Food in Judah

Out of Naomi's depth of despair, God chooses to do a work that will have an eternal impact. As she receives good news about how God has provided food in Judah, Naomi decides to return home, but she encourages her daughters-in-law to return to their parent's homes in Moab. She is broken and destitute, having nothing to offer her daughters-in-law. But as Naomi charges them to go away, only Orpah tearfully agrees. Ruth, on the other hand, shows her total loyalty, refusing to leave as she clings to her mother-in-law with deep devotion and commitment.
