Revealed and Reconciled

This is the climactic moment of the story of Joseph. Judah’s speech has been too much for him, and he finally reveals his identity to his brothers. Their initial alarm testifies to the fact that their guilt – already mentioned twice in their trips to Egypt – has been ever before them. Joseph’s speech of reconciliation teaches us about God’s providence, forgiveness, reconciliation, and the provision of life that God’s Covenant promises to Abraham would come to fruition.
