3. Scripture is God’s good gift to you (18b).
4. Sovereign regeneration is God’s gift to you (18a).
5. This new birth comes about using means (18b, 1 Pet. 1:23-25).
6. Thus you become converts, ‘first fruits’ (18c, Rom. 16:15).
