God's Covenant Faithfulness (II)

Similar to Genesis 12, Genesis 20 is a story again about fear, danger, and deception. But most importantly this story is again a reminder of God's sovereignty, Providence, and faithfulness to His Covenant promises. As with Genesis 12, Genesis 20 teaches us that things work out for our good not because we are good, but rather because of God's commitment to His Word and Promises. Trust not for a moment, then, in your goodness, but in the Lord's Faithfulness to His Covenant.
We will look at Genesis 20 in two parts:

1. God Zealously Guards His Covenant, v. 1-7
2. God Blesses Us and Uses His Covenant People Despite Our Weakness and Our Failings, v. 8-18
