Dealing with Anxiety (Pt. 3)

Theme: Followers of Jesus should not be anxious about the temporal things of this life but rather should set their hearts on God, who is our treasure, and His kingdom which is forever.
In v. 32, Jesus gives comfort regarding anxiety. He wants His children to live without fear; He wants to give us the kingdom. We can rest secure in God's goodness. In v. 33, Jesus teaches on treasure. We need to have a right perspective on possessions by giving to God's kingdom and laying up eternal treasure in heaven. In v. 34, we see Jesus's insight on the heart. We need to understand the connection of treasure and our hearts. Jesus is our greatest treasure. If we have Christ, we have the Kingdom. We can be free from anxiety because the Lord is with us, and we can be free to be generous because the Lord will provide. We need to put our trust in Him and use what He has given us for His glory!
