Aristarchus, John Mark, & Jesus Justus
Series An Exposition of Colossians
Aristarchus was a Thessalonian Jew with a Greek name whom the Lord saved and used as a missionary companion of Paul's. John Mark was from a prominent family in the early church, being a relative of Barnabas. But he failed miserably on his first missionary journey and went home to Jerusalem. Nevertheless, God still used him greatly in future ministries, including the penning of one of the four gospels. Jesus, who was also called Justus, was a little-known Christian with a well-known name. He served Christ and was an encouragement to Paul. God takes people from all different backgrounds and melds them into oneness by grace through faith in Christ.
