Favoritism Is Forbidden

We must not play favorites at church or elsewhere. Whether we realize it or not, all of us have a list of certain people we like to be with and, if we are honest, we have a list of people we don’t like to be with. Most of us want to be around people who are like us, who agree with us on everything, and are at a similar level of sanctification. The Lord calls us to "love your neighbor as yourself" not "love your neighbor who is like yourself."
