Seven Chosen and Commissioned

This passage deals with the administration of the Church. After the incident with the Sanhedrin, the disciples were preaching daily and there arose a problem as to the waiting on tables. We see here the establishment or at least the precursor to deacons, the first office of the church. Deacons are distinct from Elders with their own responsibilities and we look at that. We see the plurality of leadership and are encouraged to be servants of our Lord.
