Tragedy in Triumph

One great struggle of mankind is to try to resolve the tension between tragedy and triumph. The triumphal entry is not all that triumphal for Mark. Jesus comes not be worshiped but murdered. But even so, Christians see triumph in tragedy. Tragedy folds into triumph with a proper perspective, an understanding of the sovereignty of God, and in the stark scene of Jesus standing alone at the end of the passage.
