	1.  The Davidic Covenant – in simplest terms – is the promise – made by God to David that his throne would be an everlasting one.

This horn would be mighty in two particular ways:
a. In providing redemption
b. In saving Israel from their enemies.

B. God's Faithfulness to the Abrahamic Covenant 72-75

There are 4 infinitives that tie this section together.
  1. To perform mercy (v. 72a)

  2. To remember – as in remembering His covenant (v. 72b)

  3. To grant – which is to give or bestow to us (v. 74a)

  4. “Might serve” is also an infinitive – “to serve” – (v. 74b)

C. Zechariah's Praise for the Gift of John 76-77

D.  Zechariah's Praise for a “New Day”   78-79

	The word “Dayspring” is the old English word for “the Dawn”.  	It's the first light of a new day.  Zechariah realizes it is a new day, because of the coming of  Messiah.
