Best Of All - God Is With Us

The clear message of this psalm is that even if everything around us is falling apart we need not cave in, because God is our stronghold. This is faith on the job - affirming the conviction of things unseen – the invisible, unending supply and support of God’s living presence upholding and protecting us in the most threatening and trying of circumstances.
Whether it is the raging of creation or the raging of the nations, God alone has authority and power to ‘bring them to heel’. This is not a call for us to ‘be still’ but a command to those who oppose God’s rule to stop and realize that He is God and that He will be exalted among the nations. If such a God be for us who can effectively be against us! Faith lays hold of the confidence that God is with us and, on that basis, can stand fearless no matter what it faces.
