By Faith Noah Obeyed in Fear

Introduction:
Hebrews 11:7 "By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and because an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith."

The writer circles back to the definition of faith he gave4 at the beginning of the chapter 11

I - By Faith Noah obeyed God's word against every human logic
Gn 6:1-15 = Noah's world was as bad as or worse than Enoch's.

II - Noah condemned the world with his actions and preaching. He was a preacher of righteousness II Pet. 2:5. He condemned the world by his preaching and much more importantly, by acting in accordance to what he preached. Comp Ezek 33:32-33

III - By Faith, Noah obtained a reward and [Noah] became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
