Every Thought Captive

The battle against indulgence and for self control is one largely fought in the mind. Seedling words and actions, in the form of thoughts, are planted and nurtured in the mind. If one's thought life is occupied with wanting, buying and having then that one is likely to become uncontrolled with the use of money. If one thinks about eating and elevates its pleasure in the mind gluttony is likely his future. Indulgent thoughts are to be apprehended and made to bow in subjection to Christ.
