Acts 15:13-41
Series The Acts (2007-08)
Acts 15 shows Antioch autonomy and resistance to Pharisaical efforts to add works to salvation. No church that adds baptism, sacraments or other works of law will preach Acts 15.
James and the consensus at Jerusalem agree to support the Gospel of grace and to only give a word of encouragement that gentiles should be careful not to do things that would hurt their witness. How much better the Bible believing world would be if modern day believers embraced that attitude. Liberty in love!
Additionally, we end with a look at the very human story of Paul's break with Barnabas over John Mark. Believers do not always get along, but they must always persevere faithfully in Christ and reconcile in due time.
Listen also for commentary and quotations from Barack Hussein Mohammad Obama, John 'Juan' McCain, Rick Warren and various others...
