CSI: 1000 BC-Style

Aim: To remain faithful in Christ—even in harrowing days.

Doctrine: Depraved societies descend to gross and pathetic lows. Severed body parts are first the result of severed spiritual hearts, which are inevitable when Christ is not preached, loved, and worshiped.

Exegesis: The stages of CSI: 1000 BC-style: perversion floods the culture (vv. 22-25); death characterizes the culture (vv. 26-28); extreme shock (sometimes) rouses the culture (vv. 29-30).

Further application: What the church is to do in times such as these: we are to stand our ground and speak the truth, through our faith in Christ.
