Master, Master, we perish

First, storms can arise even while we are in the midst of doing God’s will.

Second, our Lord experienced all the infirmities of the body including physical exhaustion, and He is able to sympathize with us and help us in our infirmities.

Third, it is possible for true believers to be filled with great fear and anxiety at times.

Fourth, great faith is precious because it greatly glorifies God.

Fifth, Christ can and is willing to be woken up by the cries of His disciples.

Sixth, the awesome power and authority of Christ points us to His utter uniqueness.

May the Lord and Master of the storm truly be our Lord and Master as well.

“And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.”

“And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.”
