Keeping On in Christ - Part 2

Perseverance requires the eyes of faith which look ahead unto the unseen promises of God. If I am living in my flesh, my faith-vision is going to be blinded and I will live as if this world were all that there is. I will consider a car, a house, a momentary thrill, or even a bowl of mush - to be more valuable than heaven! I will not persevere through hunger or lack. I will drop out of the race Christ has called me to and indulge myself with worthless toys.
