There is a wrong way to pray. Christ here again attacks vain hypocrisy in religious devotions. He strikes a verbal death blow to the prayers of pretense offered by the Pharisees. Yet, let us also be cautioned against formalism and rigidness in our own prayers; public and private. Are we praying in such a way that it pleases God?
