The Supremacy of Christ: Creator

In Colossians 1:15-23 Paul shows us three aspects of the supremacy of Christ. The first aspect of Christ's supremacy, shown in verses 15-17, is that Christ is the supreme Creator. Christ, as the supreme Creator, is the One who is the image of the invisible God; the One who is the firstborn of creation; the One in whom, through whom and for whom every thing created was created; and the One who sustains all creation.
