The God of Peace Sanctify You Completely

The first few verses show that we are to receive claims of truth, (but should test them by the Scriptures as the Bereans did). Prophecy is defined as 'a direct revelation from God, in the exact words of the Holy Spirit'. Not receiving the prophecy is 'quenching the Spirit'. God shows Moses what a prophet is by making Aaron Moses' 'prophet'. Our sanctification is the focus of the next few verses, followed by Paul's final call for prayer and his charge that this letter should be read to all the believers there in Thessalonica.
