Philippians 4:8-9 - Cycle of Virtue

Paul's promise in v. 7 that the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus is followed by another promise in v. 9 that the God of peace will be with us, a great comfort to Christians who are struggling not only with trials but also with temptations.

In between, Paul presents us with a couple commands that, when followed, will lead us into a cycle of virtue. A cycle that increases our peace, and can only be achieved through the God of peace.
