The Theocentric Confidence of Nehemiah

Preached for the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church of London (Ontario) as part of an ongoing series on the book of Nehemiah.

This sermon looks at Nehemiah's God-Centred confidence. First we see his confidence that God is able to accomplish the work, in spite of the destruction that he witnesses; second, he points to God's action in persuading the people to rise and build; and third, he sets his confidence firmly upon the Lord when facing opponents and skeptics of the work.

We would do well to centre our own ministry and lives on God.
