If we are going to ‘fight the good fight of faith' we have to put on the truth, both objectively and also subjectively…
(1st) OBJECTIVELY—the Truth is God's Word – Psalm 119:160- ‘The entirety of Your Word is truth…' (John 17:16-17) ‘They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your Word is truth.'
(2nd) SUBJECTIVELY—the Truth that we are to wrap around us is the truth of Jesus Christ… (John 14:6) Jesus said, “I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me.” Putting on the truth is putting on the Lord Jesus Christ… Romans 13:11-14… We are to put on: the person of Christ… mind of Christ… passion of Christ… the holiness of Christ… the boldness and zeal of Christ… the love of Christ…
