His Summons and God's Grace

Paul opened his correspondence with the church in Corinth declaring "God is faithful by whom ye were called". The "call" isn't an invitation but a summons. It's not general but particular. It's efficient and effectual to all whom God purposed to elect, redeem and call. It's an effective summons by the Almighty God to the mind, affections and will of His chosen ones. They gladly come finding rest.
