He Who Blots Out and Remembers Not

In Isaiah 43:14-44:8, Yahweh proclaims 5 promises
concerning deliverance for His people.
I. Yahweh is able to deliver His people from Babylon
(43:14-15).
II. Yahweh has delivered His people in the past
through the exodus, but now He is doing a new
thing, culminating in deliverance through a new
exodus, so don't idolize the past (43:16-21).
III. Yahweh will not deliver, but utterly destroy, those
who refuse to call upon and trust in Him for their
spiritual deliverance (43:22-28).
IV. Yahweh will pour out His Holy Spirit on His
delivered and chosen servant, and they will bear
individual spiritual fruit (44:1-5).
V. Yahweh is the only one able to deliver His people
(44:6-8).
