The Weighty Stone

This passage gives a beautiful description of Christ and His church. Peter tells us Jesus is the true Cornerstone on which the church is built. Since we are built on Christ, the church takes on many of the same qualities of her Lord. This sermon is in three parts: Christ the Cornerstone, the unbelieving stumblers, and believers built on Christ. Because of who we are in Christ, we are called to offer spiritual sacrifices and to proclaim the glory of Christ. Jesus is the great dividing stone. Are you built on him, or will you stumble over him?
