As I Forgave You (part 2)

We've been talking about forgiveness pretty much exclusively in regard to us forgiving others. There are other ways believers struggle with forgiveness. One of those is truly accepting our for-giveness through Jesus Christ.

by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant. Also there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing. But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:22-25 NKJV

A surety is a guarantee. He is everlasting, and able to save to the uttermost, completely, those who come to God through Him.
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eter-nal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
