Life and character of John Owen #3

John Owen is worthy of our attention because of his example as a Christian man, his brilliance as a theologian, and the enduring value of his written works.

Having followed him through his life, and taken a survey of his character, we briefly consider the roles which he played, as a preacher, pastor, statesman, and theologian (specifying his exhaustiveness, faithfulness, Trinitarianism, devout Calvinism, and wisdom).

There follows a brief introduction to John Owen's treatise 'Of Temptation,' which the church here will shortly be studying in our adult Sunday School class.
