Exposition of Romans - Part 65
Series Exposition # 45 - Romans
Exposition of Romans - Part-65 (Romans 10:1).
This sermon/lesson was delivered at the Princess Chapel Church in Ashland, KY by Pastor Douglas Salyer, the Exposition from Romans as part of the Expository Bible Study, verse by verse through the Book of Romans. This lesson, Part-65, from Romans chapter 10.
The text used was taken from Romans 10:1. The Apostle Paul has just finished Romans 9, probably one of the most Sovereignty centered chapters in the entire Bible.
Yet he opens up Romans Chapter 10 with, ' Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.'
Paul has just dealt with Sovereignty, yet now he says that his prayer to God is for the salvation of Israel.
If God is Sovereign, (and He is!) then why do we pray.
- God is Absolutely Sovereign.
- God does not Change.
- Our Prayers cannot change God's mind.
- Our prayers do not move God to alter His Sovereign Will.
- So why do we pray - listen and find out, it just might surprise you.
Prayer is the means by which God accomplishes the end.
