Elders-Duties & Qualifications

In 1 Timothy 3, the Apostle Paul summarizes the qualifications for those who would serve the church as elders (1-7) and deacons (8-13). The duties of elders are best seen in the terms used to describe them. Overseers (or bishops)=elders=pastors=teachers. These 4 terms all describe functions of the same office.
