Why does God not answer my prayers, especially when He has promised to do so? A good starting point would be to ask whether God has actually promised to answer this specific prayer. Scripture contanis a number of clear warnings that under certain conditions, He will not answer prayer. Consider them. It also doesn't mean God has failed to answer your prayer if it appears that what you have not received is not good for you. Even Paul received a messenger from Satan to torment him! Consider whether there is a reason why God is not answering your specific prayer.
