It is remarkable how much trouble can be caused over so little! Paul understood this and wrote about it in Romans 14. Here he urges Christian people to make a distinction between things that matter and things that don't. Maybe when you listen to this message, you may be surprised to find that there are some things you thought mattered, and you have held other people up to that standard. Maybe that standard was your own personal preference rather than biblical principle. I wonder how many issues we could all write off to personal preference rather than biblical principle?
I must add a note about this message. When I preached the first part of Romans 14, my recorder failed to record the file. Therefore, I have simply recapped the main ideas of the first message in this one before going on to the new material. I was disappointed that technology let me down again:-)
