That you may know - assurance defined
Series Assurance
The apostle John writes his first letter "to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God" (1Jn 5.13). This helps us, first, to define assurance. It is the knowledge, in those who believe, that they have the present and permanent possession of eternal life.
