Rushing Wind and Tongues of Fire

The obedient church waited as instructed, and was found in the right place, at the right time, with the right attitude for the promise of the Father. The supernatural sound, like a mighty rushing wind, announced the arrival of the Spirit of God to the meeting house. The visible manifestation of the Spirit baptizing the church in Himself was the collection of “tongues of fire” resting upon each of the charter membership. The supernatural and wondrous effects of this Spirit-baptism reflect the greatest miracle of that Pentecostal Day: that the Spirit of the Living God would take up residence in the living stones of the Church of Jesus Christ.
