Church Metaphors: Church as a Body

God's word provides a number of helpful metaphors describing vividly the design and features of the Local Church. The Body is a picture which conveys the interdependence of God's people who have been fitly joined together and are nourished by the Head who is Christ. Every true believer is to be a member. No limbs are to be detached and no member is more important than another, with each a role and function to fulfil.
