The Eternal Significance of Today

God has given the believer details regarding the future that are to result in daily living with a forward focus. In particular, this forward focus anticipates the accountability the believer has for how life is lived today including motives as well as attitude and actions. Knowing God and the relationship He has restored through Christ generates the ambition in the believer to be pleasing to the Lord as the goal for all of life. What is done since the new birth, with the new life given and why, will be evaluated by the Lord being determined to have been good or having been worthless. The good will duly be rewarded by Christ at the judgment of believers. These rewards will be significant for the believer as they carry into the eternity beginning with the millennium. As days pass quickly and many seem mundane they are not. Each one matters for all eternity as each one has unique opportunity to be pleasing the Lord and fulfilling His purpose for the day as one in each individual life.
