Things Are Looking Up

There are certain things in life that are so unimportant that we neglect them to the point of forgetting them. But, there are other things that are essential, but are still neglected. The Ascension is an event that might fall into that category; it is a Christian doctrine and an important event in the life of Christ, yet is rarely spoken about or preached on. Perhaps we don't discuss it because we don't actually realize how the ascension affects us today. So what impact should the ascension of Christ have on our lives?
